I read an SEO post recently that talked about using PPC advertising to test the success of different keywords.  So start with PPC, see what keywords perform the best, and then optomize for those keywords.  Makes great sense to me but then I started to think about how I would figure out a conversion rate.
A conversion is a visitor that completes your desired task.  Your desired task can be filling out a form, joining your mailing list, purchasing your product or other.  Its easy to determine you total rate by dividing total number of visitors by the total number of conversions, but I have no idea how I could break it down by keywords.  Any ideas?
